Synopsis
On 20 April 2009, the students of the Zagreb Faculty of Philosophy take over control over their faculty. They demand from Croatian government to cancel all forms of payment for higher education. During the blockade, the students make all their decisions by applying direct democracy. Thus, their Plenum, a body composed of several hundreds of students, becomes the main character of the film. Simultaneously, we follow another reality, the one of media, and the politically relevant persons who 'live' in it and make decisions about our present and future. 'Land of Knowledge' is a document of the 35 days of the blockade of the faculty, during which time the government ignores the students.
