Synopsis Wood of Value' is an observational documentary of a tree's journey from the forests of Norway to the metropolis of London. The annual tradition of transporting a Christmas tree across the North Sea has been running for more than 60 years in appreciation of British aid during the Second World War. The documentary depicts the journey and the people who assist the tree on its way.

Directors Biography Bjørn Bratberg is director and cinematographer. Originally from Norway, Bjørn has a background from film studies in his own country as well as a three-year BA (HONS) from Surrey Institute of Art & Design, UK and MA Cinematography from The National Film & Television School (NFTS). He is now based in the UK, working as a cinematographer for both drama and commercials. Last year he shot a Norwegian feature film, 'Rafiki' which received the Sølvklumpen-award for the best Norwegian feature film for children 2009. 'Wood of Value' is his first documentary film.
