SCREENWRITERS’ WORKSHOP PALUNKO 9

After Uroš Živanović's 'Cold Front', one of the products of Palunko Workshop, won the main prize of Checkers Program in 2009, twelve new authors will have a chance this year to see a film made on the basis of their script premiere at Zagreb Film Festival 2012. Maybe it wins the first prize, too! This year, in our Checkers Program, we will show Romana Rožić's film 'Indian Summer', written by Hrvoje Magić, the winner of Palunko Screenwriters Workshop 2009.

Palunko Workshop is the project of Croatian Film Association. Launched in 2003, it is intended for promotion of screenwriting by means of inviting submissions of scripts, interviews and workshops. So far, over one hundred people participated in the workshops. For the seventh year in a row, during a five-day period, mentors Dalibor Matanić, Danilo Šerbedžija and Tomislav Zajec will help the screenwriters selected after a public call for applications to develop their ideas for short feature films. The best among them will be shown on silver screen next year!
