Synopsis
What the hell is Turbofolk? Folk itself is bad enough already. But the Serbians say - it can always get worse. In the film a female Turbofolksinger falls in love with a young curator from Belgrad. Their liason unite two worlds, that are incompatible: It´s a story about a controversial city and a story of love, an ode to Turbofolkmusix and a visualization of serbian queer identity.

Directors Biography
Miona Bogovic, born in 1981 in Bitburg (Germany), grows up with her mother and sister in Belgrade where she started to work at the local TV-station. In Hamm Westfalen she finishes high-school and moves to Berlin. Besides her studies of Art history, she works as a freelancer for the TV-channel 3 – Treci Kanal in Belgrade and as a photo-assistant in Berlin. She studies directing and camera at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin. She lives in Berlin and Belgrade. ‘Dont brejk maj Turbofolk hart' is her short feature debut.
